Farmall B advise

Hi everyone well started my new b that I thought was a bargin. Still may be but I've run into a few problems.Needs rings bad, easy fix as the sleeves mike out ok. Had the Mag rebuilt by Ebersons in Brewer Maine. Very good people on this old stuff.Now my ? what do you guys set your carbs at, fuel and air as I am also putting a kit in the carb. Thanks ED
 
There were two brands of carbs.used on a farmall B. One was Marvel Schebler the other was Zenith. Zenith made two carbs. One with a adjustable main jet and the other with a non adjustable main jet. My B has been in the family since new.It came from factory with Adjustable main jet but the last 40 years it's been on a non adjustable main jet. On the adjustable carb. we started out at 2 turns from bottom on high speed & 1 1/2 on idle then go from there . On the non adjustable set it about 1 1/2 out on the idle.
 
got any pics? speaking for myself i like pictures of progress on bringing one back to life again, of course then ill want one too... got a real nice cub, but a A, super A or b would be even better, its a using cub...
 
If you are rebuilding a Zenith carb check your kit carefully. The last two kits I have used had the bowl vent hole omitted from the gasket. Caused all kinds of flooding and leakage problems until I found it.
