I am looking at a dump truck with 11R24.5 tires and 10 hole "hub pilot" wheels. These are the newer style similar to Budd wheels, but not interchangeable. My question is, if you change all the wheels to 11R22.5 size, will these fit on to the existing hubs?
If a person can do that, it would be better than changing the hubs. I have many 11R22.5 tires, but no 11R24.5 tires or rims and 24.5 is not very common in this area.

YES, the wheels will interchange. 10 hole hub pilot is the same for 22.5 or 24.5. Watch out, there are some 8 bolt hub pilots out there.
22.5's are way more popular around here. We stock about 2-3 time more 22.5's than 24.5's.

oleblu is right. 10 hole hub piloted wheels are the same pattern whether 22.5 or 24.5. The only problem is if you go from steel to aluminum, normally the studs aren't long enough.

(quoted from post at 01:07:46 04/10/11) Why do you want a dump truck? I had one for two years.

I've had dump trucks and logging trucks since I was 22. Now I'm 61 and quit the logging trucks, but still want another dump truck. I still haul things for other people. (for hire). I should be tying it up, but I still want to work a little, at least in the summer.
