Trailer wiring on a 95 F150

The truck is a 95 F150, 5 liter, 5 sp manual trans. The truck is factory equiped with a trailer towing pkg. I"ve got the brake controller hooked up and a new 7-pin connector on it. The lites and the brakes all work, however I have no 12 feed to the trailer and no backup lites for the trailer. the backup lites on the truck do work. The 2 wires at the back of the truck are Black and Orange. I did find a plug up at the front left inner fender near the Power Distribution box. It has a black and orange and 2 small wires. All the fuses are ok in this power dist box and all the fuses in the cab are ok. There is one fuse in the power box that is marked "Trailer running lites and Trailer back-up lites" and it"s ok. I believe its fuse #4. The trailer 12 feed fuse is #18 and its also ok.
Is there an adapter cord that i have to get that plugs into the plug that is near the power box and if so, where does it go to, or is there some relays some where that are missing. I bought a Haynes manual, however it did not show trailer wiring in the wiring diagrams. Thanks, Brian

If the wiring is after market then they did not pull the wires. Only way to be sure is pull the plug and see how many wires are back there.

Kevin, Thanks for the response and sorry for taking so long to respond back. The wiring going to the plug is factory. In tracing out the wiring the 2 wires for the 12v feed to the trailor and the b/u lite circuit ends in a 4 prong plug on the left inner fender and there is another 4 pronge plug there that comes out of the power panel.According to Ford there is a relay module that mounts beside the power panel and these 2 plugs mentioned above plug into the relay module. I checked some local wrecing yards with no luck. I can build one with 2 relays, which will do the job.
Thanks, Brian

I am a GM guy and they pull the wires into the engine area and tape them off by the fuse block. Then you have to get a metric nut and an odd fuse to complete the connections.

Brian, I have a 1995 F250 with the factory tow pkg / wiring harness. I have both 12v feed and back-up lights on my trailer, and didn't have tto change or modify anything to get them to work. The 12V feed is only on when the ignition key os on. I would assume the F150 and F250 should be the same. I have the wiring harness diagram that came with the truck, so I'll try to look at it tonight and see if I can find any more info for you. Mike

Brian, Sorry I took so long, but I continue to suffer from CRS. Here's a couple of scans from the schematic for the trailer tow / wiring harness info. Mike

Mike, the wiring is exactly what my truck has,Thankyou. Now I can finish hooking up the wiring, knowing I won"t fry something.

Thanks, Brian
