The Swiftless ones that I have seen, Just turn the tractor around the corner like you would a car and let the trailer foot for itself.

I had a driver wedge our 6 yard dumpster under a van trailer a few months ago. He drives for someone else now.

Friend had a first day new dirt dummy pull out of the job site with the dump body up. He took down SIX utility poles before he ran out of gears to shift down to.

The only reason Swift has a bad reputation is because they have by far the most trucks on the road. Law of averages; more trucks, more incidents.

I'm betting that their actual safety record is no worse than any other common carrier. There are f-ups behind the wheel at any trucking company with more than a few drivers.

We had a mechanic go out of our main shop yard with a digger/derrick. He forgot to store the derrick. Middle of a fairly large city. Needless to say he collected several utility lines before he caught one that lifted the front end off the ground. {This was not the only complete disaster he committed over the years.)
