I am looking for any of you fellows that are running the 14GN series trailers. Just a little more specific the 14GN 25+5. Advantages ,shortcomings after buying that model? CM

I have a 2013 20+5 14GN with no issues other than the deck having to be replaced, going on the 3rd time. It is getting aluminum decking this time around.

I would keep the wood deck just use some better lumber. Aluminum and steel get real slippery when wet oily or snow on them. This is true for feet and rubber tires. And tracks will slide right off as you load if conditions are right. Wood will get slippery till the oil soaks in good then is not bad unless it gets wet with the oil on it. This is all from experience or seeing it on someone else's trailer. If you use a steel or aluminum deck surface through some sand on as the paint dries will be a big help in the slipperiness of it. There is a trailer company I hauled some trailer for a guy in Nc near Charlotte and they sprinkled sand on the deck in the wet paint worked goo for traction.

I had a 20 and 5 Corn Pro. With 7000 lb. Axles and rubber suspension. My ramps were counterballanced but still to heavy. They folded flat. I have since traded for a 27 ft. Corn Pro. Hyd tilt, hyd jack. 8000 axles, 14 ply tires. High enough goose neck. A 6.5 person can walk under and you can't bend the tailgate. I love it. Good brakes and led lights.
