I want to attach (& paint) some hooks to my Farmall tractors to hold them down as I trailer them. What do you recommend? Where to attach these?

Welded chain links to flat bar. Used front bolsters. Works well!

I have always just put the hook on the inside of the bottom lip this keeps from scratching the paint and any that is, doesn't show since it is on the inside and underneath. Then the drawbar I just put a shackle or clevis in the pin hole and chain. Do not use eye bolts for that unless you are pulling straight endways on them. They are not designed to be pulled on side ways and will break. A lot of how you tie it down depends on how tight and many are on the load. When you put 6 on a load they are tight up and you have to be inventive a bit to get them chained and not touch other than a tire to tire maybe.
