Can anyone tell me how much it might cost

Depending on the hauler, cost to haul the tractor will range for as low as $3.00 to as high as $5.00 to $8.00
a mile.

Dang, that could be 2 to 3 times of what they want for the M

400 miles? M will run 15mph. Take 3 days and drive it! Really no difference
from sitting on one in a plowed field for days on end ! I was younger then!!

Ive done that 50yrs ago. Wouldn't do it the way things are today. Sides, it is stuck. U think a 96 Ford F150 could haul it? All said and done, with the cost of shipping, I wouldnt take it as it is if they gave it to me LOL

A Farmall M would weigh around 6000 pounds without weights or fluid in the tires. A trailer nominally weighs about 1/3 of it's rated load, so you are looking for a trailer rated for 9,000 or 10,000 pounds. That is a lot for a 25 year old half ton pickup to tow when new, they were not rated for as much towing weight as they are now, the brakes were just not strong enough back then.

A suck M is probably worth $200 in iron plus the value of the tires and battery. You should be able to find a field ready M near you for $1,000 TO $1,500.

The Ford has a 360 engine in it and leaf ans coil springs. It was built to haul, BUT, I agree with your last. Theres a big amish farm sale once a month, first Sat, and they always have tractors. I dont need it till fall of next year, so ill just wait for it.

(quoted from post at 12:24:54 09/15/22) To haul a Farmall M with 3pt from Ennis Tex to Chelsea Okla? Thanks

Hey, not sure if you're still looking for a rate, but I could have this set up transport for 2.50 a mile, possibly less depending on flexibility and get it transported as a partial load.

Greetings!

I just registered minutes ago seeing that my son and I just went through this at the beginning of the week. Don't know if you're still looking but I guess it'll always be a topic for as long as old tractors will exist.

The haul cost us $1cdn/km in fuel alone using a Ford 450 dually, plus around $450cdn for a rented brand-new twin axle float. My son drove the 450 and he's a good driver so at one point when I noticed that his speed was unstable between 90 km/h and 115 my first thought was that he was too tired and 'losing it'. But no, a little bid of gusty wind along a stretch of open highway kept that truck's automatic right on the edge with gearing so he had to chose between unstable or always-expensive :)

The tractor weighed 10,000 lbs, I myself never hauled more than a 4000 pounder (think it was an IH b50 or such) but I sure would [b:9a1be36894]NOT[/b:9a1be36894] want to try 10,000 lbs with less than the above truck/trailer or equivalent.

{I tried to link my video on the tube but that posting with a link got censured}
