7.4 oil cooler lines

I am putting a new radiator in the farm truck; 1995 GMC 1 ton with 7.4 gasser and 5 speed transmission. The new radiator has ports for a transmission cooler which
I don't need and on the drivers side are ports for a engine oil cooler. There were no lines installed in the old radiator, just a couple of stubs crimped over.
The boss above the oil filter (where I believe one line would go) is plugged so I'm thinking this truck did not have oil cooler lines attached. Does it need
them? Where would they be routed? This truck is new to me so there are things I just don't know.

New radiator or "new" used radiator? Is your picture the old radiator or the one you got to install? A new aftermarket radiator may fit several different models and you use the ports you need. Likewise, if you got a used one from a salvage yard it may have come out of a vehicle with options not on your truck. I'd plug of the ports that aren't needed, as apparently was done to your old radiator. Properly plug them in a manner that the plugs could be removed if you find a need for the oil coolers in the future.

(quoted from post at 06:46:25 08/30/22) Hi Jim, it is brand new and I plan on plugging the vacant ports.

Hi Tim... I have a 96 GMC 3/4 ton 4 x 4 with the 7.4L engine. I can take pics of the radiator lines if you need them.. Mine is all stock and only 77,000 original miles
