trailer brake shoes question

This weekend I re-packed the wheel bearings on my trailer. I noticed the brake linings appear to be thin. Measured them to be 1/8"-3/16" thick. These are on 7000lb axles. Does anyone know how thick the linings should be or how thick they are when new? Thanks

Mike

They are not very thick to start with. Don't know the dimensions. Are both the linings from the same wheel the same thickness? Probably ok yet if they are. Mine have cracked and fell apart before actually wearing out.
