Shocker Hitch

Anyone using the shocker hitch on bumper pull trailers? I haul a camper that weighs approx. 10k, my deck over with 7500lb puller is 11k would there be an advantage using that hitch?

With the weight you are pulling I would go with an equalizer hitch. I like some weight on the front axle. My camper and 3/4 ton 2X4 weighs 13,000 dry,(15,ooo loaded)and I would never pull it at speed without the bars hooked up.

I pulled my trailer ( 24FT. 4,300 Lbs. ) and 8,000 lb.tractor with 97 K1500 Gmc And no swaying or jerk. Last year I went to a 95 F450 with 460 V8 and it handles load with less effort. I have had no problems with this. Main thing is keep your hitch and ball tight.

Thank you for the reply's, I am quite used to my setup was just wondering how the Shocker hitch works. Probably will not change we have a new truck coming was just curious. Tractor pulling season is here everybody is gearing up.

We have a Shocker Hitch on our 2011 Ford F250. We pull a 14000 bumper trailer, don't use it a lot, just is handy. CAN NOT ride in that pickup without that Hitch, absolutely the worst riding pickup in my 72 years. Have always been a Ford guy, but can not believe they would sell another one of these pickups after somebody used 1 of these. With hitch and trailer, it rides much better. Would I recommend a Schocker Hitch, you bet I will. But, there may be better pickups out there???

I've pulled several trailers with my '99 2500 Dodge and all have been super smooth with a regular hitch. Last year I bought a 14k deckover bumper pull and it was a bear empty as it beat the crap out of the truck and the driver. I bought a Shocker hitch and it has helped a lot. I would buy it again.

Been the same here rain every other day. Hopefully it will change we have a pull coming in a couple of weeks.

There is a lot of f250's pulling trailers. Generally it's because you don't have enough tongue weight. On my brother in laws Dodge took two sacks of sackreet on the front of his car hauler.

My Shocker hitch will be here Friday I will post results. We have had a couple of pulls recently WOW! oppressive heat and humidity. The first pull a torrential rain came through soaked us all. The pull was under a roof so all was well in the end.

I used the shocker hitch for the first time hauling the deck-over, immediately noticed the difference. Hit a bump with the truck feel almost nothing when the trailer went through it. I'm hooked and convinced they work as advertised.
