Fellow tractor nut figured how to move these in one trip across Arizona-- Farmall C and Massey followed
by Farmall H. Loaded in 45 minutes and down the interstate at 65 mph. 5.9 cummins says it was a piece of
cake. Oh yes both trailers have brakes.

(quoted from post at 03:12:21 11/25/18) Legal in lots of states if the first trailer is on a fifth wheel.

That is illegal in almost all states at the YTDOT scales.

I think a couple states allow doubles now with a gooseneck. Most states that is illegal tho.

no different then truck and trailer and yes you can back that up you steer the first trailer to turn the second , that is if you can back at all!!

Several years ago I asked an Ohio Trouper about pulling to bumper pull trailers and he said it was legal as long as I was 65 foot or under in length. Years ago I pulled 2 bumper pull 16-18' implement trailers several times from Ohio across Indiana and halfways across Ill and saw several patrol officers and they never said a word about it. I no longer have a truck big enough to do that. At the time I talked to the officer about it I was wanting to pull my 24' bumper pull camper with a 10' flat trailer with a show display on it to tractor show 165 mile away from me in Ohio to Indiana.

I was pulled over with the motor home aND my two trailers behind it.I had my tractors on the frist trailer and the golf cart on the little trailer behind the big. The cop ask me what are you think you are doing you can't do two trailers like that.He asks for my lic and told he would be right back after about 15 mins or so he came back and told me o I didn't see that you have a cdI with tandem endorsement have a nice trip

Even where that is legal, is that smart or safe? Please have some consideration for the other motorists who share the roads with you.

You lucked out not getting the ticket thanks to the ignorance of the officer.
Tandem endorsement does not cover tandem bumper pulled trailers.

I'm sure if he wasn't ignorance tell me
when you get pulled over that they don't
pich you for something. Both trailers had
safety chains dot hitchs and balls both had
brake away switch and every thing tied down
and secured plus with dot training helps

You can have all the consideration you want on the roads and you will still get cut off or if you leave some space in front of you for stopping distance they pull in front of you. There is no consideration on the roads any more were you been driving ill have you know that when I pull out of this yard every thing is as safe as it can be right down to the tags on the chains for the dot numbers on the pounds and there is four chains on each tractor. Heck the golf cart had four smaller ones on it. Your idea of having consideration is like the respect there is out there with the young drivers there is none.

Back in the 70's my folks would pull their small pop-up Apache camper behind their car, with a bumper hitch, and a 12' jonboat with small outboard on a trailer behind that. 100s of miles across southern MO. Over the years tow vehicle, camper and boat got larger until their final rig was a F150 pickup, 24' fifth wheel trailer, and 14' Bass Tracker on trailer. They thankfully never had any trouble.
