Trailer tires mixing load range ratings

I have a 10k trailer, and recently got a flat and installed the spare which after close inspection is also junk. I am looking to upgrade at least two tires and make one of my good tires a spare. I currently
have 225/75/15 load range D tires, I saw that I can get load range E tires in that size. At them moment I justify upgraded all 4 but would like to upgrade as time goes on. what is everyone thoughts on mix
match load range D/E on trailer tires?

I can't imagine a problem unless you decided to put enough on it to overload the Ds. I loaded heavy enough a couple times that I bent the axles, but never had a tire problem except shortened life.

I just put a complete set of new tires in that size on 2 of my trailers. Found them on sale at Walmart on-line (decent reviews.) Only time will tell if they are any good. But the price was so good I had to give it a try. + $10 per tire to mount and balance. Decided not to chance a flat on the very old tires they replaced. Anything had to be better than my old tires.

If you are into serious hauling, you ought to put 10 ply E's all around asap. The D's are almost always made in China and just don't hold up in my experience. I've had several that flew apart, the tread coming off the tire. But if you insist on mix and match, put both D's on one side and both E's on the other side. Then at least the load will be shared equally by both tires on a given side.
