Bauer tools

I buy a lot of HF hand tools.
I try to stay away from their power tools.
One reason is there 30 day warranty.
Time you add the extended warranty you up in the price range of a Ryobi that comes with a 3+ year warranty.
If money is tight look at Wen. Even they have a 2 year warranty.
Second reason is HF is constantly changing tool lines or they tweak the line a little.
This becomes a big problem especially with battery operated tools.
HF tweaks the line from 18 to 20 volts or stops selling the line all together and now you got a tool you can not get a new battery for it because the tool brand is only sold by HF.

(quoted from post at 00:10:20 05/30/23) I've bought a few Bauer power tools. They seem pretty decent for the price to me.

The Bauer deep cut corded porta-band clone is quite nice. I've had one for several years now with a fair amount of use and no complaints. I appreciate that it comes with a case which makes storage easier.

The battery part isn't really an issue. As has been noted here previously, adapters are readily available and cheap to allow you to standardize on a single battery type i.e. a high quality name brand and use that same battery on the cheaper brand tools you get for lighter use tasks. I've been using my Makita batteries on a Ryobi weed wacker with an adapter and it works great.

I have one of those, it's worked well for me. I install water conditioning systems and use it some, no problems...

Warranty is 90 days.

Also this is a corded bandsaw. Harbor Freight doesn't list any battery bandsaws, but apparently they're coming, because the instructions for their new universal portable bandsaw stand lists the Hercules and Bauer "cordless" saws.
