Handyman Jack been using these for 30 years now and finally decided I would try putting new pins and spring in one found the kit locally . New Jack was 100$ rebuild kit was 22$ had to buy a bushing for the leaver and a package of them was 3$ . A good wash down with some penetrating oil works like new . Third Party Image

I've found that blood Hy-Lift jacks and the best way to avoid getting blood on them is to not use them for anything besides keeping hay twine and empty cube bags from blowing out of truck.

Bought two at local farm store. Terrible casting, partly missing. Sharp edge gaulded mast bad. Removed sharp edge and turned around mast. Never buy cheap farm jack!

I didn't know there was a kit for them. Thanks for the heads up. I bought one for Dad for Christmas about 55 years ago. It's wore flat out. I bought another one a few years back. I should fix the old one too I guess.

If a person acknowledges that a handyman/highlift jack is one of the most dangerous tools he owns, then they will use it accordingly. At least I hope so. I do. gobble

Yeah I didnt know that when I first got one. Had my Ford tractor jacked up .the first time, bent down near it and felt the handle graze the side of my head when it let go. Im convinced it would have killed me if my head was a little bit further over. Been extremely careful using it ever since!!!

I put a rebuild kit in one years ago, made a lot of difference. Also if you can keep them clean and oiled. I carry one on my jeep but also have wheel blocks to use with it. It is about the most dangerous thing around but also very handy at times. Just have to be careful with it. I loaned one to a lady once and she used it to lift front of 5th wheel horse trailer. It bent sideways, I didn't think you could do that. I got a new jack out of it anyway.

I have three of those that I have acquired over the years, and I don't know why. I really don't use them because I don't trust them.

They are good but you always have pay attention make sure the pins are both all the way in so they both hold the load keep them oiled so the pins move freely be careful what you lift so that it doesnt fall sideways

My son purchased one and he asked me why I never had one on the farm. A few weeks later he found out, after a few stiches he was all good. I had my fill of handyman jacks and come-a-longs working for Harveststore. Installed a lot of unloaders with a pair of handyman jacks and two Pull-More come-a-longs.

At one time I had a 3 leg jack. I haven't seen it in a long time, it must have been sold at the auction I had when I quit farming.

Always wanted on of those to use for different things like to hold something till I could get a better jack or block under it. Not really lifting just to hold. I also have seen how unstable they are. they would be good for somethings.
