Glenster,

That's a really great addition to your tools. I go to Home Depot when I can't decide on a pitch and thread count on a bolt or nut, but their set of gauges isn't nearly as comprehensive of what you just acquired. Good buy.

.My son gave me these a while ago. He's an assistant general manager at a menards and these were headed for the trash. There are four or five small nuts stripped on the blue board.

Nice for bench use. I find the thread detective or knockoff style with studs on a cable carrier are a pretty essential tool to have since you can bring them to the equipment and into tight spaces to identify threads.

i have coffee cans and buckets of misc nuts and bolts i saved over the years. now i have a rainy day projecy to sort them out and get them
in the bolt bins!

Right up until you want to use the metric one with about 3 or 4 different thread pitches for a size. And yes there are along with more than one metric program.

this has coarse, fine and ultra fine for metric threads. the thread pitch gauge just arrives, it handles many including witworth.
