How do you measure a flat endless belt. Don't know if it measured end to end , or from pulley to pulley. Need to know how to describe it so I can sell
it.thanks for your help. John
 
Measure the circumference of the belt.

Not an easy task! One method is to use string, tape it to the outside of the belt, all the way around, then take it off and measure the string, try not to stretch it.

Or if it is on the pulleys, measure the center distance between the pulleys, then add 1/2 the circumference of each pulley.
 
I think you forgot one part of that.If you measure on the pulleys,measure between the centers,then double that.After that you add the 1/2 circumference of each .
 
Use a 100 foot tape measure, measure the outside circumference. Mark your starting point with a marker, if it's over 100 feet, make a mark and start over.

So what is it???

Our club is looking for some good belts.
 
I've never unrolled but it came with a buzz saw I got. Don't need either of them and would like to sell them. Appears to be into good shape. Would like 150.00 for saw and belt. Located in central Lake Michigan area.
 
it probably take 5 minutes to find out the length and width. most likely a 40-50 ft belt from tractor to saw 6-7 inch width. nothing saying u must be exact to the last inch.
