I am in the market for a new shop stereo system I am looking for a system that can get am/fm stations and bluetooth feature I leave radio on all year long gives my dogs something to listen to when i'm not there any advice

I'm interested also. I had one of those am/fm, dual cassette, boom box units in the shop. When it quit working, all I could find to replace it with was a small, am/fm portable radio.

The front cover of my shop sometimes serves as entertainment area so I wanted good sound. Modern components and speakers are much smaller than older equipment so the older items don't bring much. Through online auctions and estate sales I bought high quality equipment and speakers for pennies on the dollar. After watching tv in the shop with surround sound the wife and I want it in the house but do'nt want to lose space. Looking like what I saved on shop will be spent in the house for modern equipment.

From Amazon,
DEWALT 12V/20V MAX* Portable Radio, Bluetooth, Cordless, Jobsite, Tool Only (DCR028B)

$179.00

I have 3 old 18v dewalt jobsite radios. They will also charge 18v batteries. Mine has 3 places to plug in 120v cords when it is plugged into 120v. Radio plays on 18v. It doesn't have an inverter.

Not 100% if the new radios have built in chargers.

Depending on what batteries you use, look for a radio/charger.

it doesn't have bluetooth. (I don't even know what that is). I have a clock radio I bought at the secondhand store. it was brand new and cost $2.95. Been using it for about four years.

I have to tell you I don't get it... The American obsessive need for noise. Noisy trucks, noisy motorcycles, noisy radios.
And the worst.... Everyone's belief that they have the right to jam their noise in everybody's else's ears. I have a TV in my shop that is on only 10 Sundays a year to watch NFL games. The rest of the time the doors are open so I can enjoy the sound of the birds, the animals feeding, the wind blowing, and occasional thunder.

I'm with Hay and Steve . quiet opera or classical music on odd occasions , otherwise the birdsong and weather .
Mind you Australian 'birdsong' can be a bit raucous , if you have ever been under a tree full of Cockies [ Australian Sulphur Crested Cockatoos ] you are sure to have been wanting ear protection .

As far as radios go , I use a vintage Bush TR130 portable LW/MW/FM, from about 1965/70 made in the UK . Good reception , a large speaker for reasonable reproduction and a pleasing retro design .

just replaced one at work with something I picked up at Goodwill for 15 bucks. AM/FM and CD player, came with 2 speakers. Didn't have bluetooth but I had an input cord from the old one that will plug into my phone of MP3 player.

Got one in my shop that has bluetooth that I picked up at WalMart for around 100 bucks I think. Gotta look round as a lot of the newer ones are bluetooth to the speakers and I have a few wired in around the shop that wouldn't work with that

I'm old school too 1975 model Pioneer SW-525 - 75 watt receiver with 4 Bose speakers , one in each corner of 25x25 shop... I use laptop/spotify to find my old school country and rock music feed from headphone jack to audio input jack on receiver... can't seem to find a bluetooth card or drivers for the laptop, so I/m hardwired.

For years I used an old Marantz receiver on a shelf above the desk. Now I use a satellite boombox, and just plug the
receiver into it.I have those boomboxes all over the place,I just swap the receiver, not carry the boxes around. Those
things can rattle the neighbors windows, and I have no neighbors within sight of me.

How do you pick 10 games out of 17 that each team plays.

There are Thursday, Monday and Sunday Night games. And a few on Saturday late in the season sometimes.

I have a vintage Pioneer SX 650 receiver, a pair of large Pioneer speakers mounted high in the corners, a Sony CD player, and an interweb connected Toshiba laptop. No neighbors within sight of me, either. It seems like the Pioneer will only work at half throttle while tuned into the interweb feed for KSHE St Louis classic rock station. Have an external FM antenna on a rotor to pick up FM in the metal building. Network is hard wired, as well.

I recommend a Sangean WR-22L.Excellent sound from one speaker.
Am/fm with usb, Bluetooth and auxiliary input.

Mine is a car radio with a power source. I would go to crutchfield audio and get a JVC KD-TD71BT with the remote and add a automotive antenna. Its as good a radio as you can get for the money. You can add any speaker you have available. I do have a LED light that messes up the AM on this old Chrysler radio I can't hear good anyway so pay the static no mind.

Grew up listening to kshe in the
Edwardsville Illinois area (horse radish
capitol). Everyone had one of those
insulated sweetmeat long sleeve t-shirt.
Real rock radio. They had this thing
called the 7th day on Sunday nights where
they played seven albums. I always tried
to record them on my casette player. I
went to their birthday party or something
one time and they had steppenwolf and
spirit. Good concert.
