I took 2 7x9 doors and made them into 1 8 foot 8 inch door for my tractor shed, but now I need a
prescription spring! It's under sprung with one spring, and with 2 you have to force it shut, but I can deal
with it.

There are spring suppliers online that have a spring calculator on their website.

Put in the door height and weight (bathroom scale under the edge of the door with no spring assist), and it will give the proper springs required.

Two springs are better than one.

Wind-up springs are rather easy to set/adjust at needed lift.

I used an old pto inner shaft that I cut and shaped the nose and tapered the neck out of. It was the 3 corner design one.
