Recently there was a post about squares, and I mentioned having this one, so here's a picture. I've had it about 50 years, cut a lot of rafters and everything else using it. Set it to the angle you want, hold it against the edge of the wood, and run the skill saw along the long leg. Seems they're not available anymore, I better take good care of this one!

I have one like that as well, or VERY similar. I thought it was part of Dad's old tablesaw setup. Will try to remember to look tomorrow.
 
There's a company called Woodpeckers that builds some NICE wood working tools and they are now offering a T square for a limited time that's made from machined aluminum. Very nice, high dollar, I wouldn't have the ability to use it, not much of a wood worker.
