Dremel (rotary tool)

I have had two Dremels fail because of variable speed
controller fail, and I have had a few plastic drive
couplings fail.
Has anyone found a more robust rotary tool?

I have a basic variable-speed Ryobi "rotary tool" similar in size and shape to a dremel that's been tough and long lasting.

A quick GOOGLE search shows updated, fancy lime-colored versions that look nothing like the "old standby" I've had for 15 or 20 years.

I've got three of those air powered grinders, one straight and two angled. They must be twenty years old, can't wear them out and don't think they cost over twenty bucks a piece.
