Weed Killer

I normally get a 41% glyphosate weed killer from TSC. Last time I bought a 2 1/2 gal container it was like $59.00.

Same container this time was $139.99. WOW.

What are you guys paying?

About the same exact price in Beaumont Tx. I have about 4 oz of the $59 jug of FarmWorks from TSC. I think the increase is a bit much right?
Something sure to remember at election time. One of many things to remember. Wingnut

Could some of the price change also be due to the time of year? I've noticed lots of price increases here, but not much on out-of-season items.

TSC usually puts out pallets of the stuff in their store at the start of weed season. It's nothing out of the ordinary.

Good advice Billy , I hope you can keep on top of it .

The same is starting to happen down here , I suspect the banning of the product in some areas and the suspected links to cancer have given retailers a reason to price gouge .

Some decades ago lead based primer paint was starting to be phased out of production . Overnight a ten dollar a litre tin became 20 dollars then 50 .
Before it was removed completely my commercial fisherman friend was paying 80 dollars a litre for any sized can he could get from 100ml right through to 10 litres .

UNFORTUNATELY, The price hike you're experiencing with that one particular product IS TRUE FOR MANY OTHER
ITEMS GRRRRRRRRR The fast that inflation has risen from 1.4% to over 8% and gas from around $2.00 to $4.59
since the start of 2021 may just possibly have something to do with all the price increases ?? just saying,
maybe so maybe not ???

Best wishes, I hope n pr_ _ record inflation and high gas problems are solved for the good of the
country......

John T Take care everyone, be kind be safe and have a great Sunday

And back in the 70's it was 60.00 Gallon with a 2 QT rate for 3 years of Quackgrass control. Sounds like it is not as bad as the rest of the tings I'll be paying for to plant this spring. Seed was one of the other things that seems to have held close to the same level as last year. Probably need to hold on to your hat next year though.

Possibly a lot of out of season items were manufactured and purchased last year before the prices started to climb fast.

Same here. I always got the 2 1/2 gallon jug when on sale for around $50. $134.95 now and my last one is almost out Usually lasts me three or four
seasonds. The baler twine I use is $72 per.

What really bugs me is that I pay $5.75 a gallon for gas to go get that weed killer.

Herbicide, fuel and fertilizer have all doubled and won't ever go back down, that's the plan. Wait till the food prices start to
reflect all this!

I haven't even priced it. I plant Roundup Ready, but I spray a pre and usually don't have to clean up. There's no atrazine to be
had though. I usually use atrazine and Accumen, but when I went to get it this morning, Lyle said 'no atrazine'. He even called the
warehouse while I was right there and they said 'none'. I asked him if he had an all in one that would do the same job? He said
Acuron. Said it would probably do a better job than the tank mix. I've never used it so I don't have anything to compare it to, but
it was $65 a gallon and has a 2.5 quart rate, so costs more than I been paying for atrazine and Accumen.

Seed corn cost me the same as it's been for 10 years or more.
