Deines Mowers.........

Has anyone had any experience with Deines zero turn mowers, good, bad, or ugly? Deines has a fairly elaborate website.

One is up for auction on a local on line consignment auction this week, 60 inch deck, 18hp Kohler engine, 524 hours on the unit. It looks clean and straight, although a bit of work with a power washer would do wonders.

Bidding has started out slow, and it occurred to me this unit might be faster and easier to use around my shop where I've been using my D19 and shredder.

Thanks for any input.

18hp might be a little underpowered for a 60 inch deck, mine is a 22 hp 3 cylinder. My hills take hp

I had one for about 15 years. 18 HP with 60 inch deck worked for me just fine. Only downfall was the deck belt would only last about 130 hours. Dealer retired and no other dealers around so when I looked to replace it, I went with another brand. At the time I had it, the woman who answered the phone at the factory was very knowledgeable about any parts questions I had.

Made up in the mid-west and pretty much a mid-west thing. Never had dealer network that major brands had. They tried golf courses and commercial but just never caught on. My concern would be dealer or parts support but I guess if you are around Kansas you could always call the factory.

Can't say about their mowers. But they make the Finn line of blowers and hydro feeder products. Finn equipment is very high quality and used on just about every mine site and highway construction project in the state.
