re those bolts perpendicular to the shaft? Trying to get perspective on photo.

the bolts are inside the flywheel clamping it to splined crankshaft. the bolts turn with the flywheel. so u have to turn the flywheel so the
bolts are horizontal to get the wrench on due to lack of room anywhere else.
