I don't understand why people have a shortage of 10 mm.
I have extras from tenants leaving behind socket sets.
I like Craftsman sockets that come in 3 plastic trays.
One 1/4 drive. Another 3/8 drive and last one 1/2 drives.
Very easy to tell when a socket is missing. Look for it when done working.

I must be dull. I can't figure out why 10mm sockets are used/lost so much. In my entire life I have never lost one. Yes 10mm is sort of common ,but so is 11mm (7/16). Please enlighten me. Also 13mm = 1/2, 19mm = 3/4.

I am with you Bob, although whenever I am over at a friends helping out and they direct me to their meager box of tools their 10mm is frequently missing. One of my friends didnt know where his 3/8 ratchet was..... his 3/8 ratchet, his only one! Who only has 1 3/8 ratchet?!

13mm is NOT equal to 1/2 inch. 13mm is .512 inches. They are NOT interchangeable. Some of the ones that are closer are 5/8 is ALMOST 16mm, 11/16 is ALMOST 17mm, and 3/4 is ALMOST 19mm.

10mm, 18mm, 12mm and 15mm are not close enough to ''work in a pinch'' to any fractional sizes.

7/8" is another. Close to 22mm. There are many others that are close as well.

But hey, interchanging metric and standard wrenches has gotta be better than the thumb wrenches that many use. The only thing they're any good for other than field work, and that's a stretch, is bending or straightening stuff.
