Morning: I was reading the post about the standby gen set failing and your mention about it being a law in Texas got has me asking: By it being a law that the gen set must be tested/ if failed a day to repair/replace you are referring to a installation at a hospital? fire hall?, seniors home? public areas?, but not a law requirement for private installations?
Just curious how far or deep some rules are in different states, or insurance rules dictate ?
Probably not much ice to keep the stick on in Texas..:)

Every rule book I saw. Had that rule in it. Every unit I set up had the
Block heater ran all the time.
Start time set at zero.
Transfer time set at zero.
It sounds fast but I have seen units do it. Now most would let you go to fifteen to twenty. But it had to be fast.

Texas has some very strict rules. On health care I had the power to call in the state. If I saw a danger to the ones. I saw living there to call in the state. I used that power one time and I will always be glad I made the call.
