Some people collect barbed wire from the early 1900's , perhaps this seller thinks there might be a market for old posts as well .
I'm sure I have a few star pickets ( our name for steel fencing posts ) in my barn that date back to 1960 odd . Not too much of a stretch to imagine a few have survived unused since '22.

Well, Ive handled thousands of posts through the years but I have never checked for numbers. I just pull em and throw em in the loader bucket or vice versa.

The ''serial #'' are U.S. patent numbers, Both for steel ''T'' fence posts granted in 1923 and 1927.
