Diesel sediment bowl thread sealer

Putting a new sediment bowl on my IH B-275 diesel tractor. Wondering what to use to seal the threads from leaking. I have a tube of Permatex Motoseal Ultimate Gasket Maker which says it is gasoline resistant ----- Wondering if that would work for diesel. Also have a tube of Ultra Blue. Would either one of these be okay to use? If not, what would be good?

Plain old pipe dope for pipe threads. If you're talking about a fitting that doesn't have tapered pipe threads, then it should not need any sealant at all.

Your permatex sealer will work once it sets up its got to set up tho. Who has the time for that cross your fingers. I use Gasoila if all the stars in the universe align it works well. Permatex makes a RTV for motor fuels it works I try and keep regular RTV away from motor fuels I have seen the mess it can leave. So far RTV for motor fuels has worked for me.

Aviation sealant . The secret is not to get it passed the ends of the thread your sealing maybe even leave a thread or two clean that way no matter what you use it cant get inside what youre trying seal
