Picked this mower up along road next to
trash cans on trash day. No spark. Put in
a different plug, removed rust from
Flywheel and ignition module. Cleaned
crap from tank and carb.
Used 3 one dollar bills

Between magnets and ignition module to get the gap just right.

I call this mower road kill.
Friend needs a push mower.

Not many of us left that would bother to keep something like that running!

Be sure to give him a stick to prop the choke open when it gets flooded. Should have come as standard equipment!

My back won't let me use a push mower.
They can remove the air filter and use the long screw to hole choke open. I uses a screwdriver hold choke open to start it.
I like the 3.5 briggs engine. Simple to work on. Carb even has a fuel mix screw.
Doesn't smoke.
The person will be happy that it runs. I always have a $3 tool. Always works for me.

Now that Im older,,and I think,,maybe wiser,,,lol...I am still a picker...
I used to pick for someday,,but now......>>
I like your style,,and do the same,,pick,,,use and it,,or fix/give it away,,,,soon

This is just my opinion,,,but ,,anymore I Just dont care for the pick and drop in the yard,,,someday approach to picking,,just makes a huge stickerbush ,,bee ridden,,,varmit hiding,,bee nest,,snake hiding,,mouse/rat nest,,etc,,,,,,///mess

As we get older,,the someday approach to picking may not be a wise move,,ya never know ,,ya might kick off,,someday,,,and leave a big mess,,before ya get to all the someday projects

Take it from me,,I Had a lot of someday projects,,,then was told you have a 50/50 chance of living because you have cancer///what a Scramble to get things cleaned up,,,as to not leave my little girl and wife with a mess to deal with

We had a Buick automobile back in the day when you pressed the gas pedal to set the choke. My wife carried a wedge that propped the choke open when it flooded and she had to hold the pedal to the floor and crank.

A few men came over to offer help and stood back and watched. She worked pms at a hospital so this was usually about 11:30 p.m.

Larry,
One reason I built a new pole barn was to clean out a one car and my old workshop, a 2 car garage. The one car garage was full of junk going back to 1977. The 2 car garage was purchased in 1985. I got rid of all the junk. The good stuff went into my pole barn. Took most of the lock down to get it done.
Everything I do is for my kids. Sold one property. I'm down to only 6 rentals. All around the pole barn. 18 years ago I had 12 rentals.
I have no expiration date stamped on my forehead. Good shape for the shape I'm in.
Got a few projects to finish after a Tenant moves out.
Hope I live long enough for my Boy to retire and maybe move back home to the house he grew up in. He likes the stuff I have, just no place like having a Pole barn in a subdivision.
Someone always needs a push mower. I also have 2 spare 42 inch mowers to give away.
