Petal led light

I was at Napa picking up parts and they had a display of Nebo
petal led lights that screw into a normal light socket. I think
they were 6000 lumens, but I could be wrong. While watching
the morning news I saw a commercial selling basically the
same thing. They advertised less lumens. Both the
commercial and auto parts store are selling them for the same
price. 30 bucks each. Anyone have experience with them ?

My son put one in our garage. It's certainly bright, but it's a "daylight" color lamp that puts out a very cold, bluish light. I told him it looks like a morgue light.

I wouldn't recommend them if you are talking about the type with the three adjustable panels/petals.

I bought a two pack at $18 apiece last June. 6000 K, 60 W, 6000 Lumens according to package. They're bright, but like Mark said, it feels like an operating room. One I put in an unheated, attached garage that gets turned on many times daily and it has already lost two of the three petals - they quit working - although it is still pretty bright with only one. I haven't looked to see what happened to the two panels yet. At the cost, you'd like to think these would work many years.

The other one is in a shed and is turned on maybe 10 times a week. It's still working fine. When I bought these, I also bought a "corn" style that is long like a corn cob and dotted with LED's. Also screws in to normal fixture. It's still working.

I ordered one from Amazon and put it in the garage ceiling fixture. It has four petals. Does a good job.
