So I asked last fall about a 5 amp hour Dewalt battery that all the sudden wouldnt charge. You gave me some advice about taking it apart and repairing it. Well I never touched it. Today while doing the brakes on our daughters car I threw it in the charger for the heck of it and its charging ! No idea why !

A couple of things could have happened. One is that that pack could have been hot internally, even though felt cool to the touch.
OR the contacts were dirty. Either way the heat sensor would have prevented the pack to charge.
At least you know now , that is not the charger. Put a mark on the pack so you will know if it happens again,
