Red Green did that but he used a cordless kitchen mixer. One beater socket turns each way so he just switched sides for up and down...

I remember years ago you could buy a small power window motor that did just that.

You jogged my memory, which is getting rather short, I think that I put a set of those window operators on my E-150 back in the '70's.
