This is an idea I am contemplating.>>>> how to hide the door jam on a building so that the wall looks as though there's no door.
Using light gage steel siding; placing the join between sheets such that the ridge of the door sheet covers the ridge of the wall sheet when closed.>>> Now the predicament>> {normally the hinge is at the edge of the door and jam this leaves a visible joint between door and jam} YET with overlapping the rib of the sheets it would "Cause the sheet to bend using normal hinges. To accommodate the overlap of the steel the hinge would have to move out and away in an ark.
I have been contemplating this design for most of a a year and have come no closer to a layout. This is for a work building that I am contemplating building in the next 12 months. The end of the building facing the street would look like there is no door only 2 32 x 32 windows when the door is closed.
>>> *** Now is there anyone who is a better designer than I who would like to assist me in designing these hinges. I have been contemplating the design for over a year and have come no closer to figuring out how to create the hinges. I figure one would need 4 hinges per 4 x 8 door.
This is a mind puzzle for me that I haven't solved yet { I like mind puzzles } "BUT this one is beyond me."
Thank you to all I have enjoyed reading verity log ins and questions and answers over the past 7 or 8 years form others and even enjoyed hearing answers to my questions; even the ""COMICS/ jokes and crazy pictures.""
Thank you to all those who take their time on inputs and answers.
