I remember my father's Mall chain saw in the forties.It had a Mercury outboard engine .the saw always sat level. The bar unlocked and swiveled to fell trees then rotated to vertical. It took 2 good men to operate it.

I have a Mall 2MG that was my fathers first saw in his tree service. It sure is powerful, gear driven, will cut through a large spike and keep right on going. Used it to about 25 years when I bought the largest Jonesred at that time. Have used only Jonesred in my tree business after the homelites.
