Old cabinet planer

Got another item I’m looking to move. Unsure of value but going to put a price out there. It’s a old 24” planer and was working when covered about 10-12 years ago. Asking $2000. It’s big and heavy. My 2355 won’t lift it with loader. Located in East Tennessee

My father and the company he owned with my uncle owned one very similar. I would say the price is perfect if you can find a person in love with it. Many old school wood working shops would love to have it Ours went in a all items deal just 100 feet away into a brand new building with similar vintage equipment and permanent permission to use it as needed for personal projects. Finding a buyer might be pretty easy Wood Crafters magazine might provide an opportunity. Jim

Good luck. A nice condition similar sized delta planer took forever to sell for 500 near me but there is also no demand for woodworking tools as the wood here is almost entirely cottonwood.

I'll bet that if you could somehow get it to turn that ten times more guys would be interested in it. A vapor proof cover can greatly accelerate rust.

I am west of you in Tennessee ,, That flat belt old planner may bring it but there are more modern Miller Matic with electric power on the net for considerbaly less. I think it will have to be someone wanting it for an antique to pay that price. Just my thoughts. What kind of milling machine are you going to sell?

I'm interested but at $2000 I would have to see it plane a board. I was at the Portland show one time and saw one similar for $500. I'm a one day road trip away. Could you post some more pictures?
