Amazing the survival skills people can develop to keep things working!
I was watching a video about saving a power supply board.
It was all dubbed in sub titles, probably from India.
He diagnosed the problem as a bad transformer, the thing was the size of a pencil eraser!
He proceeded to unwind it. Puled off a ball of hair like copper wire, evidently found and corrected the open circuit, rigged up a jig to hold the core in a electric drill, rewound the original wire, put it all back together and it worked!
The subtitles said this was a necessity as it is near impossible to buy anything because of the nnalert shut down.
