Have used the HF and a Columbian. No difference, both function but are bad. Doubt the Wilton name on it would be worth the price.

So I guess you would like the 2 vises I have on my welding table. One came from my grandfathers farm and good chance it is well over 100 years old. The other one is what is called an anvil vise since it is both a vise and small anvil

There was one in the shop at work. Didn't care for it. Bought this for my shop.Jibs adjust better and more solid. JMO.

I had a 35 dollar large Chinese vise and have two large Wiltons There is no comparison in quality with the Wiltons far superior to the Chinese.

I grabbed a Chinese CNC mill vice from an auction that I am rehabbing/restoring. It will do the job quite well, but is definitely not a Kurt.

I don't have much experience with a cross-feed vice, I suspect the backlash will be more noticeable in the lower-priced models, but even a Kurt has some.

I have three Wiltons,, two 6" and one 8" I have ripped them off the mounts before but not once have I ever broken any part of them,, I also have three other vices every one has been repaired,, Wilton are worth every penny,, by the way mine are Snap On badged but made 100% by Wlton,,, if someone says HF are the same they only use them to hold wood lol
