can you bypass the garage door opener sensors

Someone tossed out a chamberlain opener. I have an overhead door that I need to open, when I want to use my 4 wheeler. So this would be handy to be able to use. The chain sprocket was broken loose from the shaft. I welded it back in place. How can I bypass the sensors, because I do not have them? Will a jumper wire connecting the two right side terminals work?
thank you

I tried on my opener (Sears brand), no go. I had to use the eyes. I bolted them to the wall about 2 inches apart. Works spiffy.

In my garage, I put them at the end of the overhead rails. Out of sight, out of mind.

The safety equipment is to be there for a reason . Sooner or later you or somebody else will grieve the fact that the door would not auto stop for an obstruction .
So many people believe they are too smart to bother with safety .
Ask first responders , ER staff , convalescent staff and undertakers how that works out .

friend called my over a coupe of months ago for a problem where the opener would lift two feet and stop...

turns out there was a spider web that was hanging down and had picked up an oak leaf. every time the door started to raise, the leaf would then swing through the beam and stop the door. Easy fix.

the two brands that I have worked with use a digital coded signal. Easier to find sensors than to design and build circuits to fool it.

You might google chamberlain garage door opener parts. There is places around that sell the replacement parts for the door opener. unless it's a 16' door you could also take the opener off and operate the door by hand.
