Wright Sockets

My Grandson in Law used my 13/16 socket on my battery powered impact instead of going in the shop an getting an impact socket and broke it. Wondering if anybody knows a source for one. I replaced it in my set with a MAC but it just isn't the same in the set that I've had for years. Keith

I have a set of wright sockets. Lost one so figured out the part # of lost socket from the ones remaining.
Found a new one on Ebay. Nice part is the new one is correct # but not exactly the same as the lost one. C ans S Supply in Mankato,MN sells Wright sockets.

Keith,

You mentioned in your post, "it just isn't the same in the set that I've had for years." I support your sentiment 100%. The father of my high school sweetheart, the girl that I have now been married to for more than 57 years, gave me a 3/8 drive socket set of Wright sockets for high school graduation. I have scores of other tools but I don't care even slightly as much for them as I do my Wright sockets. I recently had to overhaul my ratchet and I was able to find a rebuild kit for it on Amazon. They are still perfectly good and the chrome is still shiny.

I would suggest that you look on ebay and Amazon. I think there is a very good chance you'll find an authentic replacement.

Keith: 3/8" or 1/2" drive? I've got a few Wrights in my boxes of misc. sockets--I sort them by drive size and then again by inch or metric, as sorting them one time saves me sorting them every time when I'm looking for something. Might have one in 13/16" if I know drive size.

I have a couple of Wright tool Co. sockets that were bought by my father in the late 1940's. They are the black finish. I suspect they were Govmt. Surplus stuff. Still usable when needed.

Thanks Double07 according to their website they are still warrantied for as long as you own them so
I'll give them a call this afternoon and see what they say.

No luck, Keith. Found a couple Craftsmans, a SK, a Williams, and the usual assortment of imports, but no Wright.

I went on line and got the number for Wright tools like you told me. Called their customer service and the lady I talked with asked the number off the socket, I gave it to her and she said she would have me a new one in the mail today and to just throw the old one away. Now that my friends is what I call a warranty that you just can't beat at all. No questions asked even after I told her how it got broken and offered to pay for it. She said it was guaranteed not to worry about it. Keith
