Northern Tool has a Craftsman 309 piece tool set on clearance for half price.
Now that the Chinese Manufactured tools have been out a while does any have any factual experience with the Chinese made vs US made tools. In particular I am looking for rusting, rounding nuts and bolts, or breakage.

I was in Menards yesterday and noticed they're selling Craftsman tools...

I my experience, the problem with warranty on older craftsman tools is: They give you a new tool for the old one. The new ratchets and gear wrenches are junk. The new box an open end wrenches and sockets are clumsy.

Old tools still have the same lifetime warranty.

Seems impossible or very difficult to get warranty on the older craftsman I have so not buying new ones.

Some of the and tools are being brought back, but I don't know which ones or when.

I bought a set of ratcheting wrenches and a full socket and ratchet set about a year ago. Not a lot of time to test, but so far I've had zero issues of any type.
