Northern Tool has a Craftsman 309 piece tool set on clearance for half price.
Now that the Chinese Manufactured tools have been out a while does any have any factual experience with the Chinese made vs US made tools. In particular I am looking for rusting, rounding nuts and bolts, or breakage.

Some of the and tools are being brought back, but I don't know which ones or when.
I bought a set of ratcheting wrenches and a full socket and ratchet set about a year ago. Not a lot of time to test, but so far I've had zero issues of any type.
 
I my experience, the problem with warranty on older craftsman tools is: They give you a new tool for the old one. The new ratchets and gear wrenches are junk. The new box an open end wrenches and sockets are clumsy.
