How to adjust so that the far end of the bar/ blade will raise the most? Rite now it just barely comes off the ground. By the way I am using a ferguson 35 deluxe to mow with.

You need to shorten the distance from where the lift cable hooks to the cutter bar,cable is probably stretched. On my NH 456 mowers which is the trailer version of the 451 I use the cable off a NH 851 baler as its shorter and a little heavier then add a piece of chain to have some adjustment.
