Hello,

There was a discussion about fuel line
leaking at the fuel tank.
This adapter? fixed the leak on a Sears
weed whacker.

I find them on Homelite units, they are
usually indide the tank. I have seen
them oitdide as well, but midway up to
the carb. I have noticed a slight
chance in max R.P.M.'s but no loss of
power. Some applications may need a
little twicking though,

Guido.

They are called micro barb connectors down here Guido . They are also used for micro irrigation drip systems and you can buy packets of ten of them cheaply . The plastic withstands fuel well .

Hello Charles,

I use barbed fitting but usually there are many barbs. In a small
one a single barb does the job,

Guido.

I have been finding them inside the tank on the return line on Weed-Eater products, probably there to prevent the line from pulling out. After 20 years my wife's weed-eater need new fuel lines. $.99 a ft at L&M, $2.16 and it's up and going again!

Hello Guido,
I have several of those in my parts drawers. Got them in a box of parts from a nursery/orchard auction. Had no idea what they were for. I do know they they fit 3/8" ID lines. Used one once to splice the cracked fuel line on my old Troy Bilt. Was going to replace the line & never got around to it. Lasted for several years until the tiller was retired.

Hello Mike,

Those are brad new lines, and the right ones for that weed Wacker, and still were leaking.
I pushed the line into the tank with those barbed fitting, end of problem,

Guido.

Hello Russ,

I have seen them on both lines. But they worked for stopping the leak on that weed wacker.
I just pushed the lines into the tank, end of leaking problem,

Guido.
