Can I bypass primer bulb? If so I'm sure it might take a few pulls to get startedl

Yes but the primer bulb works as a choke does so it could be very hard to get started

I have replaced primer bulbs .Obtained from small engine online parts companies like Jacks Small Engine. Easy to replace. sometimes you need to push the new bulb in using a certain sized socket wrench depending on the brand of your motor

I guess you could, but it would be easier in the long run to fix it right.

You can find the bulbs at most hardware stores unless it?s a remote.

Probably need to prime it to get it running long enough to fill the fuel chambers.

Several different sizes, I purchase in advance & have some on hand for spring start up season. check them out on Ebay or Amazon . Get all you need for years for $5.00 delivered.

I keep a small squirt can with gasoline it in for the engines that haven't been started for a while. A small squirt down the carburetor throat with the air filter of guarantees that there is fuel getting to the engine. It does the same thing as the primer bulb but with a more positive action as I can see the gasoline going into the carburetor.

Is this the primer on the end of the 'choke' shaft on the carburetor? If so, you can use another primer mounted near it. Walbro makes one
with 2 mounting holes like goes in the cheaper Poulan chainsaws.

This is assuming that everything else on the Weed Eater is still in good condition. They aren't built to last very long.

ebay sells them. Not sure you want to bypass it. Way more stress on you without it.....and the baloney about 3 pumps and pull the cord, if it's been sitting
for several months, how about 5 for starters.

I've seen others bypass them and use a squirt of gas down the carb throat to start the engine but I've always had better luck just replacing them. Got my last assortment pack of bulbs at Tractor Supply as I happened to be in the vicinity anyway, but plenty of places sell either the assortment packs or the bulbs individually if you know what one you need. Local NAPA has also been able to match me up on several occasions if I take in the old one.
