success:got tire cut into 4 pieces so I can handle it,will dispose of pieces next week.burned up reciprocating saw doing it,but it is done!!! yea!!
 
Those pieces are wonderful to get your shop warm quick on a cold morning! Give them to me if you don't want them.
 
Cutting rubber in most forms, it cuts relatively easy either with a sharp knife or sharp saw, and I emphasize sharp. Most of the struggles in cutting rubber comes from the kerf "healing" on the cutting blade, upping the clamping force on the the blade. If while you are cutting rubber, that the cut part is pulled/wedged apart to prevent the pinching action, you'll be suprised how easily it cuts.
 
I had 2 of the Milwaukee saws ans I Liked them. Whent weith them because of the 3/4" stroke over others that has a 1" stroke. I would NEVER buy something with that long a stroke, only good for cutting 3" or larger tree limbs. At that time a 1/2" stroke would have been better for me for some jobs. And then Amazon NO WHAY IN H
