success:got tire cut into 4 pieces so I can handle it,will dispose of pieces next week.burned up reciprocating saw doing it,but it is done!!! yea!!

If you're looking for a new corded sawzall, I "highly" recommend this one:

There is also a 15 amp, and I think a 10 amp. I got my 13 amp before the others were released for sale. There is NOTHING I would choose to change on this tool. No more Milwaukee sawzall's for me!

Cutting rubber in most forms, it cuts relatively easy either with a sharp knife or sharp saw, and I emphasize sharp. Most of the struggles in cutting rubber comes from the kerf "healing" on the cutting blade, upping the clamping force on the the blade. If while you are cutting rubber, that the cut part is pulled/wedged apart to prevent the pinching action, you'll be suprised how easily it cuts.

I had 2 of the Milwaukee saws ans I Liked them. Whent weith them because of the 3/4" stroke over others that has a 1" stroke. I would NEVER buy something with that long a stroke, only good for cutting 3" or larger tree limbs. At that time a 1/2" stroke would have been better for me for some jobs. And then Amazon NO WHAY IN H
