I bought this knife a long time ago but never used it because the blade kept falling out because of the poor design. When you use it your hand hits the button and the blade falls out. As you can see in the picture, I unscrewed the button and removed it. Yahoo! no more blade falling out. To change the blade, I just take a screwdriver and press the lock open.

I have been hanging sheetrock this past week. That is the knife that I am using. I have only had the blade come loose a couple of times. Just push it back into the blade holder, and move on.---------------------Loren

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, warranty or no warranty. I should have taken it back when I first got it. They are really good about refunds.

It only takes a couple of minutes to remove the button but if you don't mind it falling out, go for it!

Does the blade fall out on that one?
Yes, they are heavy, in fact I was going to carry it in my pocket, but now I carry a cheap dollar tree knife because it's so lite, and when, not if, I loose it, it's no big deal.

I never cared for that style to fold blade lock is at rear I like the ones the release just behind the hinge. seems to make for a lot less red stains
