IIRC, he made a direct statement he would be substantially less present on YT. He made this indication before the holidays. I miss his input as well, but we all have our own lives to make the best of. jim
 
I think he chose to limit his participation to the Oliver board rather than get involved in discussions on the other boards, which often turn nasty.
 
I'm here on tool talk,on the Oliver forum,implement alley,restoration and repair,using your tractor,even the Deere forum most every day. I'd just as soon stay out of the general discussions so I don't get banned for life. Lots of past members would have done well to know when it wasn't a good idea to be on Talk or Tales anymore and stuck with the less travelled places,but they carried it on until it was too late for them.

I'll be back up there some day,but I know in my mind that it isn't time yet.
 
Actually,I haven't been on Talk or Tales since Memorial Weekend. I'd had about all I could take,then we had a big weekend thing at the neighbor's place over Memorial Weekend. He's VP of our local Tractor Club. It was too wet for field work and just hanging out with real friends and relaxing for a long weekend,clearing my mind,the idea of jumping back in to that cesspool was about as appealing as putting my hand on a hot stove. I'm fine as frog's hair for now just not being there.
 
There is definitely a LOT of off topic discussion, and when someone asks a question about a specific tractor problem there are the people who start out saying "I'm not familiar with your tractor, BUT this is what you need to do to fix it.
Why do they even reply when they have no knowledge of the tractor and problem in question???------------Loren
 
Some people think this is their own personal social media page and that every single post is directed at them so they have to respond to everything.
