Found a missing tool

Found a tool and a passengers seat in my truck after removing two laundry baskets of dirty clothes. Found many others things too, batteries, a missing shoe, hats, gloves . Amazing what one finds when you take time to clean truck.

Am I the only one that's too busy to clean their work truck?
My truck gets washed every time it rains.

Pretty much the same here.
When I absolutely can't find something in my shop, I go look in my truck.
My truck is about to get washed today according to the radar.

If I can't find a tool. I just go buy a new one.The old one will be in plain site when I get back

Biggest problem with a new vehicle is there is just WAY too much space to fill up with crap. My new Expedition I am desperately trying to keep junk down to a dull roar. It is very hard. I hate people who keep a clean and neat vehicle. Shows signs of a demented mind. Be aware of them. Just like people who have a house with WHITE carpeting.

I've had that problem my whole adult life, any vehicle I own turns into a work truck.

The inside becomes a rolling tool box, junk box, trash can, parts bin, office, dining room, recliner for napping, library, sound room...Oh, and also transportation!

My problem with tools, I have some at work, some at home, most in the truck, some loaned out.

It never fails when I can't find one, I never know where to look!

Jeffcat, you triggered a memory. My Daddy's brother stopped to visit a cousin one time (early '50's) and their house had RED walls, BLACK floors and WHITE carpet. He had his gum boots on at the time, they said and walked right on in across the carpet!! I'll bet Miss Nancy's eyes came of her head.

I worked with a chemistry teacherr that had a sign "an clean desk is the sign of a sick mind."

I feel safe, no chance of anyone accusing me of having a sick mind.

Yeah, every truck I have owned has become like a second
home and work shop. Had a dear lady friend tell friends if the end of the world was coming, find jack and his truck and you might survive it.

My van is not much of a problem, most of the time. However, I am not much of a house keeper. I went to warm up a cup of coffee in the microwave a few days back and I found a bowl of peas in there.

I won"t buy a tool box with drawers.
I'm planning how to organize my tools so I can see my screwdrivers. end wrenches, sockets all in plain sight. And if one is missing, I can easily tell.

If I hide my tools in drawers, out of site, out of mind, and I can't find anything.

Maybe. I keep mine clean and organized. It?s driving me nuts that it?s below zero and I can?t wash it until it warms up. But that?s not to say that from time to time I do find some interesting things under the seats.
