Trailer house axles - New Mounts

I recently came into several trailer house axles for next to nothing. My son is going to turn one into a two wheel trailer. The trailer house springs are still mounted on the axle - I thought I'd just buy a couple spring mounts and go - not so fast. These are "double eye" springs and 2" wide. All the mounts I can find for a 2" wide spring are for a sliding spring mount (bolt in the front eye only). Anyone have an idea where to buy 2" double eye spring mounts?

It appears the "common" double eye spring mount are all for 1 3/4 inch wide springs.

That's trailer house stuff for you. I have a couple of 1 3/4" slipper springs from a trailer house, you can only get the walking axle kit for 2" slip springs.

On another note, I got a trailer spring. Welded a
bracket to the spring so I could bolt the bracket to
frame of JD garden tractor. Now the pumper protects
the plastic hood. JD thinks the hood is made of gold,
not plastic. I tried attaching antlers to the
spring's round ends to make it look like a real Deer.

I finally found one - and they aren't cheap compared to others I can find for 1 3/4" springs.

You just need a couple of bar shackles for the rear, you can use them on any width you like. You can buy them,or make them out of bar stock.Weld a piece of pipe with an ID the same as the OD of the bolt,to the bottom of the frame, and you have a rear mount.
