Is the brass collar on the clutch of my trencher supposed to have this much side play? Also is this a wet or dry clutch?

If you fill in the blanks maybe some one can help. Make and model of it is needed for any one to be able to help you since there is a good many companies that made them over the years

It's a Rockford clutch on a ditchwitch trencher on an AENL motor. The part in question is a two piece brass collar that engages the clutch. It has a lot of side play in it. I took a video and I'm having trouble getting it to upload.

Is it clutch or clutch reduction? It is a wet (90wt) oil, should not have much play if your talking on the brass collar. If it does its probably been run dry, the disk and pressure plate will handle dry but the throw out parts will not. The cross shaft and yoke will have side play. The picture I show is a little bigger one but the picture out of parts book is for your engine.
