Hello,

Cleaning out garage bench drawers. I had quite a collection. Going to recycle them,

Guido.

I just cleaned out a drawer in the shop, while not as sophisticated as your collection, it had about 3 miles of obsolete cables and connectors - recycle next week. I'm pretty sure there was 8-track crap in there !

Throw some short chunks of wire in there, a few caps and diodes, and some 1.5 volt big boy batteries with thumb screw terminals, and it will self assemble into a multi core super H. Jim

They might be the solution to Stan Oly 's problem with 'CRS' syndrome Guido .
I didn't know what that meant till I looked it up , I laughed for a good twenty minutes afterwards :D

Whaddaya mean "crap" I just got done installing one in my Pinto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(actually I did, but that was 1980)................................gtm

There are guys on Utube that show you how to salvage the gold plated terminals on those boards. If you can get hold of enough old boards these guys actually had little gold blobs they made. This is how to refind scrap gold in third world places. Lots of acid used. I do love the induction heater. Wow.

I remember going to computer expo shows and buying memory sticks to up grade my 700 meg hz computer. Ohhhhh a pentium II CHIP! Early 2000s. My smart phone runs cicles around it today.

Can be sold as scrap gold.

Heard once that if you took every cell phone that was scrapped each year in the US that you would only get less than two onces of gold.

Hello Mark_MI,

Hard to guess how many chips. I guess 20 to 30 1 Meg chips at least.
At computer shows they sold for @80 each back when Windows95 was the system. I think I can get at least twice your guess though,

Guido.

Hello Dean,

Joe Bishop said this about Dean Martin, I love the ground he talks on!

Guido.

I really liked Dean Martin, Guido, and Memories Are Made Of This is the biggest reason.

In the early 1970s, I remember seeing a Memorex advertisement in Electronic Design (a trade magazine for design engineers) showing a Memorex disc drive or 1/2" digital tape drive (can't remember). The caption was "Memories Are Made Of This."

Thanks for the wonderful set-up.

Dean

Hello Dean,

Switch love to worship. Someday the tables will be turned. I have an extremely good memory 99% of the
time,

Guido.

Darn, I thought you were going to give me mine back so that I could remember where I left my pliers!
