Last years squirrels ate most of my sweet corn,. Do you think the orange construction /barrier fencing would keep them out? I shot and trapped, but not enough.

I solved that problem by putting a electric fence made up of chicken wire around the garden. Held wire about 3 inches off the ground. Worked great. If you don't have trees overhanging the garden, squirrels, will try and crawl underneath the wire to get in.

Coons love it too. Don't understand how they can eat it and mice/rats can't. Seems to me they are in the same animal gene family.......I use Tom Cat or Kat, for my rat control. Works great.

I have about a half dozen squirrels in the yard usually, don't think they have done any damage to the garden. The thing that irritates me is they burry walnuts in it and I'm constantly pulling out trees.

Good luck with that! Maybe while standing in line at the sweetcorn stand this summer you could post and let us know how it went. :)

I drive by a place that does that electric chicken wire on a half acre sweet corn patch. He has done it for years.

I never have problem like that but I do have number of out side cats and that keep them away

The orange snow/construction fence won't keep anything out except the occasional dog. And that's iffy.

The warfarin is more lethal to rodents than to other species as well.
Raccoons are not rodents. It's just a blood thinner for people.

How big of an area do you have. I had a garden I fenced off with chicken wire and ran a hot wire around the top. I had one squirrel that almost made it but got fried on the wire.
